During the ELIG 2016 conference in Paris, the renowned French-Brazilian Architect, Mrs Elizabeth de Portzamparc set the theme of the conference: Learning Places of the Future – The Grand Documentary Equipment of the Campus Condorcet. In her inspiring keynote she emphasized her architectural work towards creating a ‘community shared space’, a space that naturally enabled learning, at the community level. This is exactly the philosophy that the we.learn.it project with the Classroom of the Future of the Frankfurt Bookfair tried to achieve during the recent installations. The physical space is of utmost importance for excellent learning outcomes. This was one of the reasons why for instance the leading furniture maker vitra was working together with the project to research and experiment improvements of the learning process via physical space design (space, furniture, technology).
